Steve Hayhurst

Steve Hayhurst is a founding principal of Hayhurst Consulting. He has an Honours Business degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1980 and a CMC designation through the Canadian Association of Management Consultants. Early in his career, he worked in human resources in industry. For the past 25 years he has been a management recruiter including 6 years with Ernst & Young and 18 years self employed.

As primary consultant on specific client engagements, Steve personally oversees all phases of the assignment including establishing position specs, candidate identification and evaluation and reference checks.

Our front line staff has over 25 years of combined recruiting and consulting experience. Armed with the position profile and source list of target organizations, they utilize finely honed research skills to develop a comprehensive list of qualified prospective candidates. They then approach the prospects to determine their level of interest in the position and/or to collect referrals. Other areas of involvement include conducting database searches, preliminary screening for suitability, coordinating client interviews and assisting with reference checks.
